It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas!!!!

This is our 2nd snow for the season. The first snow was nothing more than a dusting but this time the kids were able to play in the snow, sled and have a snowball fight.

Baby Boy Bell

It's A Boy!!!

We found out today that our second grand child is a boy. Jeramy and April are expecting a healthy boy to arrive towards the end of April 2009. We are thrilled for them and can't wait till he arrives. Please continue to cover Jeramy and April with your prayers as the pregnancy progresses and as they enter a new phase of their life together as parents. Jeramy and April both have such a heart of tenderness for children that we know they are going to be wonderful parents!

We love you all!

His Faithfulness!

Twelve years ago my life was falling apart. I was going through a divorce with the man I had given my heart and soul to and the father of my three beautiful children. I was heartbroken, crushed and felt like I was suffocating. Many times and for many, many days I would just walk around repeating "I am alive, I will survive". I did not see how I could ever trust or give my heart away again, but God saw my pain and my broken heart and He healed me. I looked to God to help me during this time and He was always faithful and always there!

A year went by and I found myself asking God for a husband, but not just any man. I specifically said, "God I want a man that I will be attracted to you inside of him, and I want him to be attracted to you inside of me"! After praying and making my requests known to God, I started thanking Him for my husband and everyday I continued to thank Him. A few months went by and one Sunday morning in December of 1997 I was sitting in church and felt like I was suppose to give my wedding rings away (I had not been wearing them but for some reason that day I did). I put my rings into an envelope and the only thing I wrote on the envelope was this is a faith seed, and then I dropped it in the offering. Those wedding rings symbolized a marriage relationship and I was planting a seed for the marriage that God had for me. On the last day of December 1997 I was at church for a New Years Eve party and I was introduced to Travis Bell... Now we have been happily married 10 years. Happy Anniversary, Honey!
Psalm 40:16 Let all those that seek and require You rejoice and be glad in You. Let such as love Your salvation say continually The Lord be magnified!

The little man~2 weeks old now

Better Brains for Babies

The Science of Early Brain Development
Recent advances in medical science have revealed that much of the brain’s development actually takes place after birth. When a child is born, the cells (or neurons) that make up the brain are in place, but most of the connections that allow those neurons to communicate with each other have not been made. Most of the pathways, or connections, are developed and refined to form the brain’s wiring during the early years of life. Children who have positive, enriching experiences during early childhood can more readily develop the wiring they will need for language, problem solving, forming relationships, and many other abilities that are fundamental in later life.

Jessica is healthy!

Jessica had been fighting sickness since August 28th and had not gotten better. She had been to the Dr. twice and then I took her for the 3rd time last week. She started swelling and it continued so I ended up taking her to Scottish Rite. She is now much better, and at this point she has lost most of the swelling (it was 17 lbs. within 6 days that she gained but she has lost 10 lbs.) Nutrition has been the biggest factor in all of this. So, Jessica is back in school today, finally! Please keep her in your prayers as she continues to regain her strength.

Jaden Joel Bell has arrived!

Our first grandchild, Jaden Joel Bell, was born on Tuesday, Sept. 2nd at 9:30 pm. He was born at the Blanchfield Army Community Hospital on Ft. Cambell where Joel and Ana live. He weighed in at 8 lbs. 6 ounces and was 21 1/2 inches long. Ana was amazing and gave birth 100% natural (no painkillers, no epidural). Joel was a great coach and has not left Ana's side since Jaden was born. We are so proud of Joel and Ana and our new grandson, Jaden. Jaden has Ana's features (face, nose, mouth) and thank God he seems to have her temperament also. LOL. He is so quiet and calm. He is precious!!!

Cody's broke arm

Well, Cody has been playing soccer for 7 years now and never a trip to the hospital, never. He's always wanted to play football but I would get him to put it off for another year each time he mentioned it. This year he had an opportunity to play football at the Middle School but still do soccer so I said we could give it a try....The second week at football practice I got a call from his coach saying they were taking him to the hospital he had broken his arm. He is healing great and he has been so brave through this. I am very proud of him. This picture is not for the faint at heart.

Jeramy and April's Wedding

I love weddings and it's a good thing because I have a lot of them to look forward to with 4 kids still at home, but our current family event is Jeramy and April's wedding. It took place at Warner Robbins Air Force Base at the Officer's Club on July 26th. The wedding rehearsal dinner was pizza and bowling. We had a blast! The wedding was sweet and short and the reception was so much fun with all of the dancing...I could have danced all night (I think that's a line from...My Fair Lady).

Fannin High School Prom 2008

Jessica and Allison were invited to the prom. Jessica attended the prom with Martin Pelfrey and Allison attended the prom with Aaron Coffey. They had a lot of fun because it was just a bunch of friends hanging out having fun. Martin had just gotten back in from drill that day because he is going into the army after high school graduation. He and Jessica fell asleep on the way to the restaurant which was an hour away. LOL

Family Update ~ 2007

It was a busy year to say the least. Travis and I were busy with family, work and church. I started a new career in banking at United Community Bank. Travis continues his truck driving along with New Beginning's Housing Investments. We took our youth group to FL to Camp Decision and it was awesome!

As for our kids....Jeramy was hired by Dekalb County Police Department and started Police Academy for 12 weeks.....Joel and Ana were married on July 29th and it was a princess wedding! .... Janeesha worked hard at school and Food Lion and looked forward to her senior year....Jessica turned 16 and got her driver's license (my how time flies)....Allison had a wonderful start to her High School career - she found Drama and Chorus and has settled into these areas....Cody started his Middle School years and he adapted well. He continued his soccer and basketball and of course taking piano.
